WSAV has partnered with the Salvation Army and Bluffton Self Help to make sure deserving families in our community don’t go without this holiday season.
On Tuesday, News 3’s Tina Tyus-Shaw was out at the Walmart in Pooler for one of our final Holiday Hope toy drop off events. It’s a chance for the community to do some shopping and give back — all in one place.
“It’s a great inspiration for our associates to see the community giving back to those who need some assistance,” explained Sandra Palmer, Walmart Marketing Assistant.
For the past few weeks, News 3 has held several events at Walmarts in Savannah, Beaufort, Bluffton and Pooler. But as Palmer said, the work isn’t done just yet.
“I’ve seen an uptick in donations that have come in in the last few events that we’ve done,” she said, adding, “But we still have a great need.”
To help News 3 fill that need, be sure to stop by our finale events this Thursday, Dec. 13.
Stassy Olmos and Andrew Davis will be at the Walmart in Hardeeville from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. Tina Tyus-Shaw, Ben Senger and Kris Allred will be at the Savannah Bananas Plaza during the same hours.
If you can’t stop by, we have a list of toy drop off locations available. Just visit wsav.com/holidayhope for details.
