Furry friends don’t miss out on the St. Pat’s parade

St. Patrick's Day

Thousands enjoyed Saturday’s St. Patrick’s Day festivities in Savannah, but some wouldn’t take on the sea of green without their furry best friends.

Some even came dressed in their very own St. Pat’s attire.

Many were distracted by the sights and sounds, so owners had to keep them on leashes.

For some, it’s no problem. James Curtain attends the parade every year and says leaving his dog at home isn’t even an option.

“He’s so loved and I get to meet folks you know I mean I can’t–he’s a real draw and a lover,” Curtain said.

As a reminder, dogs are not allowed in the St. Patrick’s Day Festival “control zone.” There is an exception for service animals and residents with pets in the control zone.

Service animals must be on a leash at all times.
