SAVANNAH — The 21st Annual SCAD Savannah Film Festival kicked off on Oct. 27.

DAY 1: Guests in attendance at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival Opening Night included actress Emily Blunt (“A Quiet Place”) who received the Icon Award; John Krasinski (“A Quiet Place”) who received the Vanguard Award; and Maggie Gyllenhaal (“The Kindergarten Teacher”) who received the Outstanding Achievement in Acting and Producing Award.
 
Other talented filmmakers in attendance included: Yalitza Aparicio (“Roma”), Kayli Carter (“Private Life”), Raul Castillo (“We the Animals”), Winston Duke (“Black Panther”), Elsie Fisher (“Eighth Grade”), Thomasin McKenzie (“Leave No Trace”), Stephen Moyer (“The Parting Glass”), Hari Nef (“Assassination Nation”), Denis O’Hare (“The Parting Glass”),Gabriela Rodriguez (“Roma”), Millicent Simmonds (“A Quiet Place”), and Marina de Tavira (“Roma”), and more.  
 
DAY 2: Guests in attendance at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival included Hugh Jackman (“The Front Runner”) who received the Legend of Cinema Award.

Cast and crew members from Starz “Outlander” included Caitriona Balfe (Claire Randall Fraser), Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser), Sophie Skelton (Brianna Randall), Richard Rankin (Roger Wakefield, John Bell (Young Ian), Ronald D. Moore (Executive Producer), Maril Davis (Executive Producer), and Terry Dresbach (Costume Designer). Starz screened the Season 4 premiere episode of “Outlander”, airing on Starz Sunday, Nov. 4. A Q+A session with select cast and creators followed the screening. SCAD Museum of Art members were invited to preview a new Outlander costume exhibition at a VIP reception. Award-winning costume designer Terry Dresbach, STARZ and SCAD have partnered to bring nearly 20 costumes from the series to the museum.

Other talented filmmakers in attendance included: Edward Asner (“The Parting Glass”), Phil Burgers (“The Passage”), Jimmy Chin (“Free Solo”), Alan Hicks (“Quincy”), Rashida Jones (“Quincy”), Stephen Moyer (“The Parting Glass”), Denis O’Hare (“The Parting Glass”), Gabe Polsky (“In Search of Greatness”), Jason Reitman (“The Front Runner”), Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi (“Free Solo”), and more.

Q+A’s following the day’s screenings included: directors Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin (“Free Solo”); directors Alan Hicks and Rashida Jones (“Quincy”); director Gabe Polsky (“In Search of Greatness”; director Stephen Moyer and writer Denis O’Hare (“The Parting Glass”); and director Jason Reitman and honoree/actor Hugh Jackman (“The Front Runner”).

DAY 3: Guests in attendance for Day 3 of the SCAD Savannah Film Festival included honoree Armie Hammer.  Others in attendance included: Polly Draper (Stella’s Last Weekend), Christina Choe (Nancy), Cristina Costantini (Science Fair), Darren Foster (Science Fair), Heather Graham (“Half Magic”), Debra Granik (Leave No Trace), Nathaniel Kahn (The Price of Everything), Karyn Kusama (Destroyer), Kira Lehtomaki (Ralph Breaks the Internet), Stephen Maing (Crime + Punishment), Anna Martemucci (A.M.) Lukas (One Cambodian Family For My Pleasure), Josie Trinidad (Ralph Breaks the Internet) and many more.
