Police have identified the victim of a homicide on Savannah’s west side.
According to the Savannah Police Department (SPD), 22-year-old Joshua Thomas was killed in a shooting on Thursday.
Around 2:15 p.m. emergency officials responded to Tuten Avenue between Hudson and West Bay streets.
SPD officers located a black male with injuries, later identified as Thomas. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Violent Crimes detectives are investigating. They do not believe the shooting was random.
SPD says no one is in custody at this time.
