UPDATE: GBI arrests man in Tattnall County homicide

Authorities have arrested a man for murder in Tattnall County.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), 42-year-old Timothy Hill was arrested Sunday on charges of malice murder, felony murder and aggravated battery.

Hill is accused of killing Tywanna Jackson, 52. The GBI says Hill and Jackson were living together.

Just before 7:00 p.m. Sunday the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office and EMS responded to a report of an unresponsive woman in the Beards Creek mobile home park off of Highway 196 in Glennville.

Jackson was pronounced dead on scene by the coroner.

The sheriff’s office said several people were interviewed as persons of interest. The GBI will be performing an autopsy.

A homicide is under investigation in Tattnall County.

The sheriff’s office says EMS responded to a report of an unresponsive woman in the Beards Creek mobile home park around 7 p.m. Sunday night.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has been called to help with the case.

The sheriff’s office says several people have been interviewed as persons of interest.
