UPDATE: Arrest made in Hampton shooting on Locust Street

Investigators with Hampton Police Department along with the Beaufort Police Department arrested Ahderah Sinai McGowan, 19, of Beaufort,  in connection with the April 23 shooting incident at 107 Locust Street in Hampton. The arrest was made on Thursday.
McGowen was charged with Criminal Conspiracy and Armed Robbery. She was transported to the Beaufort County Detention Center.
As a result of the shooting, Brison Simmons, 20 of Beaufort, was found at the scene of the incident and was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot injury.

The second suspect has been identified but his name is not being released at this time. That suspect fled the scene after being shot and stopped at the McDonald’s located on US-278 for assistance.
He was treated by Hampton County Emergency Services and later airlifted to MUSC in Charleston where he is currently listed in Stable Condition.
The investigation is still ongoing and additional charges are expected
