Suspect in deadly domestic disturbance arrested in Liberty County

Authorities say a suspect wanted in connection with a deadly domestic disturbance has been arrested.

According to Liberty County Sheriff Steve Sikes, 40-year-old Jason Glass was arrested without incident Thursday afternoon in Liberty County.

Sikes would not comment any further.

Officers were called to 31 Bass Road around 3:00 a.m. Thursday in reference to a possible domestic disturbance.

According to the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, 67-year-old Jean Coral was found dead at the scene.

Toni Schwacha, 46, was located and in need of medical attention for injuries. She was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

According to Sheriff Sikes, one of the victims on the scene made the phone call to 911.

News 3 confirmed Coral was once Glass’ mother in law and Schwacha is his ex-wife. Sheriff Sikes said Glass and Schwacha’s divorce was just finalized on Monday.
