SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Two people were displaced in an overnight house fire on Savannah’s west side, according to the Savannah Fire Department (SFD).

Fire crews were dispatched to fire at a duplex in the 0 block of Kane Street just before 3:00 a.m. on Thursday. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered flames in the front room of one of the units Firefighters on the scene say the fire appears to have started at the front of the house.

Crews quickly extinguished the blaze before it spread.

Although two residents were displaced, no injuries were reported. The Red Cross was called in to assist those residents.

The cause of the fire is undetermined.
