SCMPD investigating Duval Street shooting

SAVANNAH, GA (WSAV) – Around 2:59 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8th Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department responded to the 1900 block of Duval Street where there was reports of a gun discharged.

Reportedly, a car was traveling along Duval Street near Pennsylvania Avenue and shots were fired from an unknown direction.

The Violent Crimes detectives believe the shots may have come from a nearby car, according to a release from SCMPD.

After the incident, Anthony Williams III, arrived at Memorial University Medical Center in a private vehicle seeking care for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Investigators are working to determine the actual circumstances surrounding this shooting.
