Police are investigating a pedestrian fatality that occurred early Wednesday morning outside of a warehouse.
According to the Savannah Police Department (SPD), around 2 a.m., 54-year-old Abraham Bowen, of Savannah, was at the Dollar Tree warehouse property (between the Tanger Outlets and Georgia Tech Savannah).
Bowen made a U-turn, driving a jockey truck, and struck a pedestrian.
SPD says Lindsay Roof, 51, of Richmond Hill, had been walking in-between two trailers at the time he was struck. He was dragged by the truck for a short distance before it came to a stop.
Roof was transported to Memorial Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
SPD’s Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating the incident.
