Savannah Police’s Violent Crimes detectives identified and charged a 30-year-old male for the shooting death of Matthew Harrington.
On Oct. 29, 2017, officers were called to the 400 block of W. Bolton Lane about 7:50 a.m. and discovered the body of Harrington in a vacant lot. Harrington appeared to have suffered gunshot-related injuries.
During the investigation, detectives identified Henry L. Johnson as the alleged shooter.
On July 19, he was served his warrant for murder while already in the Chatham County Detention Center for other unrelated charges.
Detectives continue to investigate this incident.
