Savannah-Chatham school bus driver faces charges in deadly crash

Crime & Safety

A Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools bus driver is facing charges in a deadly crash from last month in Garden City.

Andrea Wiggins is facing vehicular manslaughter charges. The police report claims Wiggins was driving down Kessler Avenue and turned into an apartment complex when she hit Terry Williams on his motorcycle. Williams died four days later from injuries.

Last month, WSAV spoke with family and friends at a vigil honoring Williams’ life on what would have been his 57th birthday. The family said they hope this tragedy brings awareness for all drivers on the road.

Wiggins is facing a possible sentence of less than a year in jail or a fine up to $1,000.
