UNION COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) – A South Carolina mother was arrested after her 8-month-old child tested positive for cocaine.

Ahbenee Hooker, 34, was arrested Monday for child neglect. Officials said they received a referral from the Union and Newberry County Department of Social Services saying the baby tested positive for cocaine through a hair sample.

Hooker was the only person caring for the child.
