One injured in Savannah auto body shop fire Friday

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Savannah Fire Rescue put out a fire at an auto body shop Friday in West Savannah that left one injured.

At 8:13 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to W. 42nd Street and Montgomery Street for a shed fire. The shed was full of household items.

When fire officials arrived, the fire had spread to an adjoining body shop and damaged three cars. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.

One man was on site and fell and sustained minor scrapes and burns.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
