On Wednesday, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested Rashaun McRae, 20, on charges of murder for the death of Elroy Miller, age 58.
The GBI was requested by the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office to assist with a death investigation after Tattnall County EMS responded to a call of an unresponsive person at Hwy. 292 in Collins at approximately 12:17 a.m. on April 17.
Upon arrival, authorities say Miller was pronounced deceased on scene by the Tattnall County Coroner. Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office had previously responded to a domestic violence incident earlier in the same evening involving Miller, McRae and a female.
Miller’s body will be transported to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy to determine cause of death.
Anyone with information concerning the investigation should call the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office at (912) 557-6777 or the GBI Statesboro office at (912) 871-1121.
