Students were evacuated from Jenkins High School on Monday after a bomb threat was called into the school.

According to Savannah-Chatham County Public School System (SCCPSS) officials, all students are safe and accounted for.

Students were transported to Juliette Low Elementary School as police searched the school.

Shortly after 1:00 p.m., police completed their search and students were taken back to the school.

SCCPSS said in a message to parents that there was no indication the threat was credible but assured that they take every threat seriously.

Campus police, Savannah Police, K9 officers, the Savannah Fire Department and the Chatham Emergency Management Agency all responded to the school.

Parents had the option to pick up their students during the evacuation at Juliette Low Elementary. They can now pick up students at Jenkins High.

Students will otherwise be dismissed at their normal time.
