The Georgia State Patrol has identified the drivers in a deadly accident on Whitemarsh Island Sunday night.

The accident involving a car and motorcycle happened around 6:00 p.m. A portion of Island Expressway near Bryan Woods Road was closed for about three hours as law enforcement collected evidence and spoke to witnesses.

The motorcyclist, identified as Clinton David Jones, 39 of Savannah, was killed in the crash, according to the Georgia State Patrol (GSP).

75-year-old Alice Thomson Caine, who was driving the other vehicle has been arrested and charged with first-degree homicide by vehicle, DUI of alcohol and failure to stop at a stop sign.

GSP is investigating the accident.
