Girlfriend of murder suspect pleads guilty, will testify

Crime & Safety

The girlfriend of an alleged killer has agreed to testify against him.

On Tuesday, Tiffany Chisholm took a plea deal which will keep her out of jail but put her on the stand.

Investigators say she admitted to hiding the weapon allegedly used by Timone Hooper in the death of Lawrence Bryan IV.

In 2015, Bryan was shot and killed during a robbery attempt in downtown Savannah.

“The nails are going to cement all the things we’ve been waiting for that justice,” explains an emotional Linda Wilder-Bryan, Lawrence’s mother. “While it’s blind it’s moving toward justice for us. It won’t bring Lawrence back but it will make the hole in my heart a little smaller.”

Tuesday’s sentencing happened to be the third anniversary of Bryan’s death.

Hooper is charged with malice murder in connection. He is already in federal prison on gun charges.

Chisholm was sentenced to four years probation and a three year suspended sentence.

A trial date has not been set for the murder case.
