FUGITIVE FILES:Man accused of strangling his girlfriend, twice

A Savannah man is facing aggravated assault charges for a bruatl attack on his own girlfriend.

“We dont want to see him do this to someone else or to her again,” said Detective Constance Hogan of the Savannah Police Department Aggravated Assault Unit

That’s why Savannah Police are asking for your help finding Marcus Boyd.
 
He’s accused of a crime against his own girlfriend.

“Got into a verbal altercation with his girlfriend. he strangled her, they fell to the floor,” explained Hogan.
“He held on to her until she passed out. When she came to he was still holding on to her throat. She asked him to let her go, at which point he said no i dont think so. He strangled her again to the point she passed out again.”

Boyd has a history of domestic violence, and has gone to jail before, on felony drug charges.
 
Boyd is 31 years old. 5’4″ 125 lbs.

He could be in the 200 block of Alaska street in Savannah or staying with family in that same area of Savannah’s eastside.
