GLENNVILLE, Ga. (WSAV) — Multiple inmates were injured after a brawl broke out at Smith State Prison Thursday night, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections.

Officials say several inmates got into a fight which resulted in four inmates requiring outside medical treatment at area hospitals. Three inmates remain hospitalized but are in stable condition.

There were no staff injuries reported during the incident.

The fight remains under investigation.
