Former Savannah mayoral candidate found guilty of aggravated stalking

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – A former Savannah mayoral candidate could spend the next 20 years behind bars.

On Thursday, a Chatham County jury found Anthony Oliver guilty on all charges, including aggravated stalking.

Prosecutors say Oliver attempted to unlawfully contact a woman, which is in violation of a permanent protective order.

Oliver has prior felony convictions in California which include assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer.
