Death of 18-year-old ruled homicide, Long County Sheriff’s Office investigating

LONG COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) – Authorities are investigating a homicide in Long County.

Long County Sheriff Craig Nobles said the body of 18-year-old Omari S. Alexander, of Hinesville, was found around 6 p.m. Monday by a motorist near a private drive on County Line Road near Rye Patch.

Nobles said the death has been ruled a homicide, but did not go into detail on the manner of death. Alexander’s body will be taken to the GBI Crime Lab in Pooler for autopsy.
