6 more arrests in Hinesville arson, burglary investigation

HINESVILLE, Ga. (WSAV) – Authorities have arrested and charged six more people in connection with an arson and burglary case in Hinesville.

According to the Hinesville Fire Department (HPD), the following were arrested in their investigation into the fire at Jungle Jake’s Hobbies and Games in March and an incident at Gamers Only in April:

– Williams Rumsey, charged with arson and burglary – party to a crime (both felony charges)  

– Heather Rumsey, charged with hindering the apprehension and punishment of criminal and false statements (both felony charges)  

– Levi Feltus, charged with hindering the apprehension and punishment of criminal and false statements (both felony charges)  

– Cera McDaniel, charged with false statements (felony charge) and theft by receiving (misdemeanor charge)  

– Zakary Darby, charged with theft by receiving (misdemeanor charge)  

– Brandon Groolsby, charged with theft by receiving (misdemeanor charge) 

On April 19, police arrested 30-year-old Brett Salisbury for burglary and arson at both locations. He is alleged to have attempted to start fires to cover up the burglaries.

HFD says further details will be released pending the conclusion of the investigation.
