Some wonderful children in Savannah will have a Merry Christmas thanks to the love and generosity of others.
Salvation Army is hard at work collecting toys for the holidays. Their gymnasium has been converted into a winter wonderland, covered with toys.
Thanks to some of our viewers, hundreds of bags have been packed with toys for children in the area.
“It’s through the Holiday Hope program that we are able to donate a lot of these toys, and we are so grateful to WSAV for that and for Tina Tyus-Shaw just spearheading all of that and letting us become the beneficiaries,” said Mary Redding, with the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary.
The Women’s Auxiliary had a busy season registering deserving families for the Angel Tree Program. And their hard work will pay off soon on Christmas Day.
