SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office is doing its part to help improve the lives of moms and babies.

On Friday morning, employees rolled up their sleeves and made a nice breakfast spread all for the March of Dimes’ annual walk called March for Babies.

Plates sold for just $5 which will help the team called “Sheriff’s Babies” in their fundraising efforts. So far their campaign has reached $2,000 for March for Babies.

Sherri Armitage, a mother of premature quadruplets, knows well what the support for the walk means.

“You’ll get to see children that benefit from the money that goes to March of Dimes,” she said. “You’ll see children who have been born premature some that might have some effects of prematurity. ”

The Coastal Empire March for Babies is for everyone.

Help give moms and babies a healthy start on April 27 at 9 p.m. in Daffin Park. Visit here to register.

WSAV is proud to sponsor the event for another year.
