HOLLYWOOD (NBC News) - Not only is it Friday, but there's even more reason for "Star Wars" fans to be excited.
A teaser trailer for the ninth installment of the main "Star Wars" saga was released
Friday afternoon. It's going to be subtitled "The Rise of Skywalker".
Once again, it features Daisy Ridley in the role of Rey, along with Adam Driver, John Boyega
and Oscar Isaac.
The trailer also includes glimpses of Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian from the original
"Star Wars" trilogy, as well as the late Carrie Fisher, who played Princess, and later on, General Leia Organa.
"Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" hits theaters in the U.S. on Dec. 20.
