Multimedia Journalist
Nakya Harris joined the WSAV News 3 team in June of 2023. She is from Warner Robins, Georgia, and graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2023 with a degree in Multimedia Journalism.
Nakya came to WSAV with experience reporting for Your Newsroom, an on-campus newscast, and leading Georgia Southern University’s Communication Department magazine as Editor-In-Chief.
Nakya started watching the news at a very young age and fell in love with the idea of shedding a light on important stories in the community as she grew up.
When she is not in the newsroom, you can find her reading a book, trying new restaurants or binge-watching her favorite television series.
Nakya is always looking for stories, no matter how big or small. Everyone has a story to tell, and she is one to make sure it is told from all angles.
