Multimedia Journalist, Weekend Morning Anchor
Danni Dikes joins the WSAV News 3 team from Weston, Florida.
Although she loves home, Danni is thrilled to live and work in Savannah.
Danni is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Miami where she earned two degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Theatre Arts. As part of her college program, Danni worked as a Reporter and earned the title of Executive Producer for UMTV Newsvision, the University of Miami’s award-winning live newscast.
Earlier in 2017, Danni provided extensive on-site coverage of a deadly outbreak of screwworms that killed 10% of the Key Deer population in the Florida Keys. Her work was recognized as a finalist in the annual Florida Associated Press College Journalism Competition.
Danni also served coveted internships at both the Miami, Fl. CBS and NBC network-owned television stations, WFOR-TV and WTVJ-TV, respectively.
Excited to work at another NBC affiliate, Danni loves meeting new people every day, tackling the issues important to Coastal Empire and Lowcountry viewers and providing a voice for those less fortunate. And you’ll see in her reporting her deeply held belief that the power of a news organization should also be used to recognize people making a positive impact in our community.
Danni loves spending her free time with her family and friends, working out, traveling, reading, “geeking out” over musical theatre and dancing “like nobody’s watching.”
You can catch Danni reporting during the week and anchoring the weekend morning shows on WSAV News 3.
