Daisy Kershaw joined the WSAV News 3 team in September of 2021 and is excited to serve the greater Savannah community.
Daisy has always had a passion for journalism. Some of her fondest childhood memories were family car rides spent listening to news on the radio or reading the morning paper with her parents on Sundays.
Daisy graduated with the highest honors from the University of California Santa Barbara, where she majored in Communication. Daisy’s love for journalism was solidified during her time at UCSB where she took on the role of External News Director for her local radio station. It was there that Daisy saw firsthand how impactful community-based reporting is.
After earning her bachelor’s degree, Daisy went on to attend Northwestern University’s prestigious Medill School of Journalism where she earned her Masters of Science in Journalism. During her time at Northwestern, Daisy worked as an MMJ for CAN-TV Chicago, where she produced original content, anchored, reported live in the field, and covered major news stories across Chicago.
Now, Daisy is excited to call Savannah home. She loves taking long walks through Savannah’s many squares and she can often be found reading in Forsyth Park. When she isn’t exploring the city, Daisy enjoys spending time at Tybee Beach.
If you see Daisy around town, make sure to say hello! If you have any story ideas or recommendations, you can email her at DKershaw@wsav.com.
