COLUMBUS, Ga. -

Two Applebee's employees were robbed at gunpoint early Monday morning, Columbus police confirm to WRBL News 3.

Around 2a et, a suspect robbed two employees trying to leave the restaurant's Airport Thruway location, Sgt. Daniel Lyons said. It was not immediately clear what the suspect may have stolen.

The suspect is described as a black man about six feet one inches tall with a slim build. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact Columbus police at 706-653-3400.
