STATESBORO, GA - Seven people are under arrest in Bulloch County after investigators found drugs and a gun in an Institute Street apartment.

The Bulloch County Sheriff's Office went to the Lodge Apartments Thursday to locate a man wanted for selling cocaine.

When deputies arrived, that man, Rotema Watson, 43, allegedly tried to throw away a bag of crack cocaine and was taken into custody, said Chief Deputy Jared Akins.

Deputies also took six other people into custody after investigators got a search warrant.

Those include: Nicky Young, 38, of Statesboro; Larry Jackson, 24, of Millen; Michelle Parker, 48, of Statesboro; Brandon Mincey, 27, of Statesboro; Jarel Brown, 24, of Statesboro; and Prethenia Wells, 43, of Statesboro.

"The discovery of drugs and a firearm at the location is particularly significant since the area outside of this apartment was the scene of a shooting on June 29 that is currently under investigation by

detectives with the Statesboro Police Department," Akins said.
