WSAV has been recognized year after year for outstanding journalism, particularly in the areas of investigative reporting, smarter coverage of crime, and in-depth storm tracking.

Over the past 7 years, WSAV has received 53 honors from the Georgia Associated Press, 8 Bryan Awards, 7 Georgia Association of Broadcasters GABBY Awards, a regional Emmy --- and an astounding 31 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, including Overall Excellence six out of the last seven years. 

WSAV has been recognized for outstanding journalism FAR more than any Savannah area television station.
