GREENVILLE, N.C. - Pitt County Schools continues high school graduations ceremonies this weekend.

On Saturday, South Central, Farmville Central, Ayden-Grifton, and J.H. Rose closed out graduations festivities in Pitt County. D.H.Conley and North Pitt held their ceremonies on Friday.

Over two days, a total of 1522 students received high school diplomas at Minges Coliseum at East Carolina University.

This year's seniors earned $23-million in college scholarships.

Farmville Central graduating senior, Shayquan Wilkins, says his family played an instrumental role in his high school career.

"My mom, my dad, my grandmothers, just like my whole family. They just pushed me to keep going. When I was down, they kept me up," said Wilkins.

Wilkins plans to attend Pitt Community College in the fall and study occupational therapy.
