Update: Liberty Co. Man Dies of Gunshot Wound, Suspect Denied Bond

Posted: Updated:
LIBERTY COUNTY, GA - The Liberty County Sheriff's office says James Stewart has died after being shot in the head Thursday evening. Stewart was pronounced dead at 2:09 pm. Marquana Adele Jasper is accused of firing a single shot to Stewart's head.
When
Jasper appeared in court in the Liberty County jail in Hinesville on Saturday morning, she was denied bond. Appearing before Magistrate Judge Jimmie Bowmar, Jasper had initially been charged with aggravated assault in the shooting of James Stewart Thursday night near Gum Branch.
When Jasper left the bond hearing she was visibly upset and crying as she was escorted back to her cell.
The Liberty County Sheriff now says a warrant will be issued Monday morning seeking a felony murder charge against Jasper, who remains in custody.
