2 charged with stealing copper from unfinished Clayton home

CLAYTON, N.C. -

Two men have been charged with stealing copper from a home under construction in Clayton.

Anthony Worth Tudor, 25, and Joseph Marshall Boyette, 33, are each charged with possession of burglary tools and larceny from a construction site.

Police say the men stole copper from a home under construction in the area of 205 Trevor Ridge early Monday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the home around 2 a.m. after neighbors heard suspicious noises coming from the unfinished home.

When they arrived, officers heard something fall inside the house and then saw the two suspects stealing copper out of the house.

Both men are being held on a $30,000 secured bond.
