31-year old woman posed as high school student

Posted: Updated:
Longview, TX - A Texas woman is behind bars after she posed as a sophomore at an East Texas High School when she’s actually 31 years old.

Charity Johnson was charged with giving officials a fake name and date of birth.

The woman Charity was living with told reporters that back in March, Charity told her she was 15 and needed a place to stay.  She said she was abused by her biological father, and he passed away and her biological mother is dead. Tamica Lincoln says she sympathized with her, and invited her into my home.

Charity did well in her 10th grade classes at New Life Christian school which only has about 30 students. But no one knows why she enrolled as a student when she's twice the age of the other students.

When a mentor and Lincoln suspected Charity was using a fake identity, they called the police.  Her bond was set at $500.
