RELEASE FROM SAVANNAH CHRISTIAN PREP SCHOOL:

SCPS GOLFER COMMITS TO LIVINGSTONE COLLEGE
Savannah Christian Preparatory School’s Lenorris Williams III signed a letter of intent to play collegiate golf for Livingstone College.   His parents, Lenorris Williams Jr. and Berthenia Williams of Savannah, his teammates, coaches, teachers and peers were there to witness this exciting event.

Lenorris began golfing at a young age. While in Upper School and playing for the Raiders, he had many accomplishments including lettering in the sport for three years in a row. Lenorris also scored a 79 in sectionals in Eagle’s Brook at Locus Grove Golf Course to assist the team in winning a second place and securing a spot in the state championship. Recently, Lenorris was the Low Medalist at the SCPS vs. BC tournament by shooting an even par 36.

Using his athletic prowess for good, Lenorris became a Peer Coach for The First Tee of Savannah. Lenorris also had the distinct honor of attending the Life Skills Leadership Academy in Manhattan, Kansas.

As a strong, student athlete, Lenorris is enrolled in Advanced Placement (AP) courses as well as enrolled in college classes at Savannah Technical College. He is the first Raider to accept a scholarship to Livingstone College which competes in the CIAA and is a Division II school of the NCAA. Livingstone College is a small, private institution offering Lenorris a collegiate environment that will allow him to play golf while earning his college degree. Lenorris looks forward to majoring in Business Administration while studying at the Christian college.
