LOS ANGELES -

Singer Gwen Stefani will join "The Voice" as a coach for the show's upcoming seventh season.

The No Doubt front woman joins longtime coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, as well as fellow newcomer Pharrell Williams.

Pharrell and Stefani are stepping in for coaches Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green. who will not return for the show's seventh season.

"So excited to have you join #TheVoice squad @GwenStefani! Welcome to our crazy fam! Kisses- xoxo #blondesdoitbest," Aguilera tweeted early Tuesday morning.

While Aguilera said she plans to return to the rotating chair in a future season, CeeLo said he is done with the popular singing competition.

"I have so many other things that I want to do. I haven't released an album in four years," CeeLo told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show in February.

CeeLo and Aguilera are also not on the current, sixth season of the show. Instead, Levine and Shelton are joined by Usher and Shakira.

To introduce the two new coaches to viewers, Pharrell and Stefani will both perform on the May 5 episode of "The Voice. Pharrell will perform his new single "Come Get It Bae" from his current album "Girl" and Stefani will perform her "Hollaback Girl" from 2004's "Love. Angel. Music. Baby."
