Harman-Kuchar Group Steals the Show at Harbour Town

Harman-Kuchar Group Steals the Show at Harbour Town

There wasn't any lack of excitement in champion Matt Kuchar's group.  In fact, it drew the largest galleries of any pairing..
Sure helps when one of our own was playing.  Savannah's Brian Harman had a front row seat for Kuchar's first RBC win, having been paired with Kuchar on Sunday.

"It's just about being patient.  Today was his day and my day will come.  It's just a matter of waiting for it.  Kooch has put in a lot of work.  A lot of time into today happening.  So, there's a lot of work and a lot of time in front of me."  says Harman, who finished tied for seventh at 6 under par.

Kuchar said "Yeah, I see a lot of Brian.  Savannah boy.  He lives down on St. Simons Island with a lot of us.  I play a good bit with him at home.  He's a good steady player.  I think he'll be out on tour for a while. I always enjoy playing with him. He's fun to be around."

While Kucher stole the show, Brian Harman never really challenged the leader.  He says he couldn't really get anything going.  Until the last hole, number 18 when he gave the gallery, a huge gallery, something to cheer about.  "I was trying to keep pace with him." says Harman.  "He was too much today.  It was good to finish pretty well.  My best finish around this place."

"I wish I could have given him a little more of a scare today.  It was cool to watch.  Hopefully, I'll learn something." he said.

Brian Harman finished tied for 7th.  His 4th top 10 of the season.
