SAVANNAH, GA -

The case against Torrey Scott, accused in the rape of a woman allegedly kidnapped from the Candler Hospital parking lot on February 9th, has been sent up to Superior Court.

It will now be heard by the Grand Jury for potential indictment.

Judge Harris Odell, Jr. decided to send the case up despite an investigator in court admitting they have no physical evidence linking Scott to the crime.

The investigator told the Court they are still awaiting some results from the Sex Assault examination kit, but that so far they have not had a DNA match to Scott, nor have they recovered any physical evidence in the victim's car linked to Scott.

The victim did ID Scott in a photo lineup which included six photos about a month after the crime.
