$5,000 reward offered for Winter Park day care crash suspect

WINTER PARK, FL (WFLA) - A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a hit and run suspect who police say is responsible for a causing a crash that killed a 4-year-old girl and injured 14 others in Winter Park.

Police agencies across the state are watching out for Robert A. Corchado. Investigators say Corchado was driving a Dodge Durango on Wednesday when he hit a convertible which then crashed into a KinderCare day care. Investigators say Corchado drove away after the crash.

Arrest warrants have been issued for Corchado for leaving the scene of a crash involving death and serious body injury.

Thursday afternoon, authorities announced they were offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to Corchado's arrest.They think he could be driving a black Mazda SUV with Florida license tag CHR-Q41.

Investigators say the 26 year old has a long criminal history.
