Lanett murder suspect wanted

Original Story:

An arrest warrant has been issued for a Valley man wanted for shooting and killing a Lanett man early Wednesday morning. Authorities are also searching for two additional individuals wanted for questioning.

Around 3a et, Lanett Police Department officers responded to the call of a man shot in the 3200 block of 44th Avenue Southwest. Responding officers found Christopher Michael Griggs, 27, of Lanett, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the East Alabama Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Thomas Brent Starkey, 23, of Valley. Police describe Starkey as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 173 pounds, with brown hair and green hours. He is known to drive a tan 2002 Mercury Sable with Alabama license plate 12AC927. Authorities consider him armed and dangerous.

Officers are also trying to locate two other individuals wanted for questioning. Paul Clayton Teague, 25, of Valley, is described as a white male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, with brown eyes and brown hair. Teague owns the Mercury Sable Starkey may be driving. Jacob Chase Shaddix, 18, of Valley, is described as a white male, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
