Dammarell expected to buy the team at the end of the current X-League season (June), but the situation arose to purchase the team earlier.  The Steam will play out it's current road schedule in 2014 and relocate to Savannah for the 2015 season.

Dammarell is currently in negotiations to playing the teams five home games (plus two exhibitions) at the Savannah Civic Center.

He also owns the East Georgia Rebels, a Semi-pro football team in Statesboro.  Dammarell also is the owner of East Georgia Landscaping and Design.  His East Georgia Rebels played in the League championship game at Cowboys Stadium in Texas this past season.

X-League commissioner Mike Mink tells WSAV that he's excited to be bringing another team to the Southeast.  Current X-League teams are in Alabama, Dalton, Georgia, St. Louis and Lakeland, Florida.
