RALEIGH, N.C. - The Raleigh City Council approved a contract for preconstruction services for the Union Station.

The contract approved preconstruction of the Union Station project which involves relocating passenger rail service from the existing Amtrak station on Cabarrus Street to the Dillon Supply Company Warehouse.

The council voted 6-0 to approve the $200,157 contract with Clancy and Theys/Skanska Joint Venture.

The Dillion Supply Company Warehouse will be renovated to accommodate the passenger rail facility.
