Hwy. 25 in Garden City Reopened After Fatal Crash

GARDEN CITY, GA -

UPDATE:

Garden City Police say Highway 25 has been reopened after a fatal crash on Tuesday morning.

The road was closed for several hours.

A major accident investigation is underway on Hwy. 25 (Main St.) and Smith Ave. in Garden City.

Sgt. Benji Selph with the Garden City Police Department says 3 vehicles were involved in the accident. Sgt. Selph says one person has died, 2 others have been transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.  

Garden City PD says the crash will have a significant impact on the morning commute around the Georgia Port Authority.

Police say Highway 25 will be CLOSED for several hours from Smith Avenue to Gate 6 of the Georgia Ports Authority. Vehicles leaving the port may only turn right out of the exit, away from the accident.
