Victim Identified In Fatal Crash On Whitmire Hwy in Union Co.

Officials are investigating a fatal wreck that happened Monday on Whitmire Highway at Tinker Creek Road. Officials are investigating a fatal wreck that happened Monday on Whitmire Highway at Tinker Creek Road.
UNION COUNTY, S.C. -

One person is dead after a wreck on US 176, Whitmire Highway, in Union County Monday afternoon.

Officials say 39-year-old Ricky Dale Keisler, Jr. of Union was killed after the SUV he was driving went off the left side of the road and into the trees.

This happened around 2:30 near Tinker Creek Road.  Keisler, Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.

Four other people were also in the car. They were either airlifted or taken by EMS to Spartanburg Regional.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.

The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
