Armstrong Women's Hoops Team Leaves for NCAA D-2 Tourney

The women's basketball team at Armstrong Atlantic State University departed Savannah this afternoon en route to Hickory, North Carolina and the NCAA D-2 Tournament.

The Pirates play Friday evening against top seed and host Lenoir-Ryne.

Armstrong his hoping to take advantage of their "second chance".  The Pirates were upset by Georgia College in the opening round of the Peach Belt Conference after claiming the title in the PBC East division.
