President Obama Appears on Comedy Show "Between Two Ferns"

Posted: Updated:

President Obama found himself literally facing off "Between Two Ferns" on Tuesday in the latest episode of Funny or Die's web series.

The President joined actor Zach Galifianakis for an interview on the popular on-line comedy show, "Between Two Ferns."

It was an effort by the President to branch out to young viewers and encourage them to sign up for healthcare.

But, it was also an opportunity for the President to show off his comedic side.Galifianakis is known for treating his guests in a rude manner on the mock show, and he didn't give the President any special treatment. The two sent zingers back and forth on a variety of topics during the six-and-a-half minute show, taped two weeks ago.

During the interview, President Obama chided Galifiankis about his "Hangover" films and repulsion of spider bites. While his host was a bit surly at times, asking if he'd sent "Ambassador Rodman to North Korea."

The show was recorded at the White House and has been viewed more than 1.9 million times.
