UPDATE:

Two men are now facing child molestation charges in Effingham County, after they were arrested in connection with a state-wide child molestation sting known as, "Operation Broken Heart."

63-year-old Douglas Shontz and 24-year-old Kevin Horton both face charges of criminal attempt to commit child molestation, after deputies say they tried to meet up with underage girls for sex.

Horton also faces charges of sexual exploitation and furnishing obscene materials to a minor.

The Sheriff's office says Shontz has been released on $11,000 bond and Horton was granted a $21,000 bond by a magistrate court judge.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says "Operation Broken Heart," has resulted in child porn and exploitation charges against 14 people across Georgia. The operation was focused on arresting people who use the Internet to solicit children for sex. Bureau spokeswoman Sherry Lang says the suspects involved ranged from 21 to 64 years old, and traveled from across northern Georgia with the intent of meeting a child for sex.

Some of the people arrested included a 56-year-old elementary school principal from Villa Rica, a 22-year-old software developer from Atlanta and a 52-year-old Engineer from Johns Creek.
