RALEIGH, N.C. -

Protestors marched and chanted around the Capitol in Raleigh Sunday afternoon demanding Russia remove its troops from the Crimean Peninsula.

Approximately 75 people protested by holding signs reading "Stop Putin!" and "Hands Off Ukraine!"

Some in attendance want the U.S. and other western nations to step in if Russia refuses to back down.

"Actions speak louder than words and I hope that the U.S. supports Ukraine as well as the E.U. We are here to support our fellow Ukrainians in Ukraine," said protestor Luba Sawcezyn.

The Ukrainian Association of North Carolina organized the protest.
